Trusts

Trusts and other grant making institutions remain an important source of income for St Nicholas Hospice. We currently enjoy the support of a number of Charitable Trusts, with whom we work in partnership to provide facilities and care for our patients and their families.

The funding we receive from our Trust supporters is often crucial. It enables us to maintain our building and to expand and develop the services we provide for our patients and their families.

The core need of St Nicholas is, of course, revenue funding - day to day running costs. The majority of this money pays for our clinical and support staff who offer the care and comfort required by our patients. In addition charitable trusts and foundations have supported work as far ranging as:

  • refurbishing the communal Bradbury Green Area - £37,000 from the Bradbury Foundation
  • Day Hospice Development Appeal- £50,000 from the Henry Smith Charity in 2001
  • opening of a charity shop in Brandon - £2,500 from the Keystone Community Partnership Development Trust
  • providing an Information Centre in the Hospice - £2,000 from the Albert Hunt Trust

We have a wide range of areas that can be supported and we are always keen to talk to new trusts about the opportunities that exist at St Nicholas Hospice. If you require further information, or if you have any connections with Trusts we would be delighted to hear from you.
